Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 16, 2026

Studio Queues ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website studioqueues.com and its related services (the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the rights you have over your data.

By using the Platform you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. Who we are

Studio Queues is operated by Studio Queues LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company. Our mailing address is 4030 Wake Forest Road, STE 349, Raleigh, NC 27609. You can contact us at privacy [at] studioqueues dot com for any privacy-related questions or requests.

2. Data we collect

Account data

When you register, we collect your email address, chosen username, display name, and a hashed password. If you sign in with Google, Discord, or Twitch, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from that provider — we do not receive or store your password for those accounts.

Profile data

Artists may optionally add a bio, profile photo, header image, social media handles, portfolio URL, and commission pricing. This information is publicly visible on your artist profile page.

Commission and transaction data

We store the details of commission requests (description, reference images, pricing, milestones), messages exchanged between artists and clients, mood board content (images, notes, drawings), and delivery files. Payment transactions are processed by Stripe — we store only a Stripe account ID and payout-enabled status, not full card or bank details.

Uploaded files

Images and files you upload (profile photos, reference images, commission deliveries) are stored on Cloudflare R2, a cloud object-storage service.

Usage and technical data

We automatically collect your IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited for security and operational purposes. We use Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) to understand aggregate usage patterns such as page views and session duration. Google Analytics uses cookies and may collect your IP address; see Google's privacy policy for details.

Push notifications

If you choose to enable browser notifications, we store a push subscription (an endpoint URL and the public keys your browser generates) so we can deliver notifications such as new commission activity. Messages are delivered through your browser vendor's push service (for example, Google, Mozilla, or Apple). You can turn this off at any time in your browser settings or in your account settings, which removes the stored subscription.

Beta feedback

If you submit feedback through our in-platform widget, we store the page URL, your comment, optional name/email, and a screenshot of the page at the time of submission.

3. How we use your data

  • To create and manage your account
  • To facilitate commissions between artists and clients
  • To process payments and payouts through Stripe
  • To send transactional emails (commission updates, receipts, password resets)
  • To show live queue and commission data on OBS overlays
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and policy violations
  • To improve the Platform based on aggregated usage patterns
  • To respond to your support requests and beta feedback

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising profiling.

4. Legal bases for processing (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, our legal bases for processing are:

  • Contract performance — processing necessary to provide the Platform, facilitate commissions, and process payments.
  • Legitimate interests — security monitoring, fraud prevention, and service improvement, where these do not override your rights.
  • Consent — for optional features such as marketing communications, where we ask separately.
  • Legal obligation — where applicable law requires us to retain or disclose data.

5. Third-party services

We share data with the following third parties only to the extent necessary to operate the Platform:

StripePayment processing and artist payouts. Stripe may collect and store billing and identity data independently under their own privacy policy. Privacy policy ↗
Cloudflare R2Object storage for uploaded files (images, deliveries). Files are stored in Cloudflare's infrastructure. Privacy policy ↗
Google, Discord, TwitchOAuth sign-in providers. If you use social login, the provider shares your name and email with us. We do not share your Platform activity back to them.
Google AnalyticsAggregate usage analytics (page views, session data). Google may collect your IP address via cookies. Privacy policy ↗
RailwayCloud hosting provider that runs our servers and database. Privacy policy ↗

We may disclose data to law enforcement or other authorities when required by law, or to protect the safety of our users or the integrity of the Platform.

6. Data retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account:

  • Your profile, bio, and social links are deleted immediately.
  • Commission records (messages, milestones, delivery records) are retained for 12 months for dispute resolution and legal compliance, then deleted.
  • Uploaded files are deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
  • Stripe-side data is governed by Stripe's own retention policies.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have the following rights:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Erasure — request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention obligations.
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Restriction — ask us to pause processing in certain circumstances.
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy [at] studioqueues dot com. We will respond within 30 days. EEA/UK users may also lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.

US state privacy rights

If you are a resident of California or another US state with a privacy law (such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, or Utah), you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access and delete it, to correct inaccuracies, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. The categories of personal information we collect are described in Section 2 above.

Sale and sharing of personal information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and similar laws. There is no need to opt out of a sale because we do not sell. You may submit a request through an authorized agent; we will verify the agent's authority before acting. To make any US state privacy request, email privacy [at] studioqueues dot com.

8. Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in ("session token"). This is strictly necessary for the Platform to work; if you block it, you will not be able to stay signed in.

We also use Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies to measure aggregate usage (page views, session duration). These are analytics cookies, not advertising cookies. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share your data for targeted advertising. Where required in your region (for example the EEA or UK), we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential analytics cookies, and you can decline without losing access to the Platform.

9. Children

The Platform is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. International transfers

Our servers are located in the United States. If you access the Platform from the EEA, UK, or elsewhere, your data is transferred to and processed in the US. Where required, we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards for such transfers.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top and notify registered users by email for material changes. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
