Studio Queues
How it works

How Studio Queues works

Everything from first signup to a completed commission, for artists and clients.

Run your queue like a business

Six steps from signup to a five-star rating.

1

Sign up and set up your profile

Create an account, pick a username, and fill in your bio and portfolio links. Agree to the SFW content policy, required before your queue can open.

Takes about 5 minutes. You can add a header image and link your stream handles (Twitch, YouTube, Kick) any time from settings.

2

Build your commission menu

Create commission types (chibi bust, full illustration, icon pack, reference sheet) with custom pricing, intake questions, milestone structures, and delivery formats.

Use templates to get started fast. Set per-type limits, monthly caps, and whether the price is fixed or negotiated per commission.

3

Open your queue and notify followers

Toggle your queue open. Followers who've clicked Follow on your profile get a notification immediately. Set daily and total slot limits so you never overcommit.

You can schedule queue opens, pause without closing, and set a reopening date. Clients see estimated start times based on your historical pace.

4

Stream your process live (optional)

Add the Studio Queues browser source to OBS. Your queue, current commission details, and progress state display live for viewers. No manual updates needed.

Mark a commission as your active project from the queue panel. When you go live, the client gets a notification that you're streaming their piece. Viewers can type !queue or !next in chat to check your status. Skip this step entirely if you don't stream.

5

Deliver and get paid

Upload the delivery through the commission portal. On crypto, milestone funds release when the client approves each stage. On fiat, the second charge runs at delivery.

High-res files, web-res versions, and source files can all be uploaded separately. Clients have 30 days to approve before auto-approval kicks in.

6

Build your reputation

Completed commissions add to your rating and completion count, visible on your profile and in browse results. Ratings and reviews are mutual. Clients rate you, you rate them.

Your analytics dashboard tracks revenue by commission type, client retention, and average completion time (premium feature).

Payments

How payments work

Card payments via Stripe are available now, with milestone splits and staged payouts built in. On-chain USDC payments via smart contract on Base L2 are coming soon.

Milestone splits

Set a deposit upfront and collect the remainder on delivery. Both parties see exactly what's owed at each stage.

Automatic timeouts

7-day acceptance window, 30-day delivery clock, 7-day approval window. The platform keeps things moving without nagging.

Complete transaction record

Every message, file delivery, and payment lives in one place — making it easy to reference what was agreed and when.

Crypto payments · coming soon

USDC held in a smart contract on Base L2. Funds release per milestone the moment the client approves — no bank window.

Instant crypto settlement · coming soon

Funds release to the artist's wallet on approval. No 2–7 day payout delay, no currency conversion.

Milestone-locked on crypto · coming soon

Each stage is independent. Clients keep control over future milestones; artists keep payment for work they've delivered.

Platform deadlines (not artist-configurable)

Stream integration

The OBS overlay

Add a single browser source URL to OBS. No software to install, no manual updates. The overlay pulls live data from your queue and updates automatically as you work.

Queue overlay

Shows your current queue order, client names (or anonymized), commission types, and status badges. Viewers can see what's coming up.

Now working overlay

Focused view of the current commission: type, client, and a progress indicator. Great as a corner widget during streams.

Alert overlay

Pops up when a new commission is submitted or a milestone is approved, like a donation alert but for commissions.

Chat commands

Drop your live queue, availability, and pricing straight into chat. Copy the URLs from your overlay settings and wrap them in your bot's fetch command — $(urlfetch …) in Nightbot (StreamElements and Fossabot have the same). Each returns one current line, no manual updates.
